The Smokies Revisited

Well, we finally did it. Sans Uncle Dave and the extended family from CT, we took a family trip back to the Smoky Mountains and had an awesome time. We took the luxurious route this time and traded in our tents for a huge cabin. It was a great break from our everyday lives and we all had alot of fun together. We did every possible touristy thing that there was to do there. Unfortunately, much of the actual park was closed for the week due to a freak storm that whipped through the area, but we made the most of our time. Some of the highlights of the trip were Mike trying to pass some lady on a horseriding excursion and causing her horse to fall over on top of her (lawsuit pending), me being told I was 2 lbs too heavy to bungee jump, seeing three bears in captivity who were too fat to even move, further exploiting the American Indians by buying pictures with them dressed in their costumes, having our trash cans raided by a dog with nipples that dragged the ground, and having our cabin be invaded by lady bugs. All in all it was a great time that went by way too fast. See below for great pics with so-so captions.

Nothing was better than Dad cooking breakfast every morning. I am told Deanna makes a great breakfast but I'm still waiting for that one.
