Shots heard round the world
Christian received his two month shots and was pretty upset about it. On a positive note, he is burgeoning, weighing in at 8lbs 14oz and measuring 21 inches long; a far cry from the emaciated 3lb skin and bones of two months previous.

Weekend Update
Well... It has been two months, though it feels like a lifetime. Christian is doing great. He sleeps through the night with the exception of one feeding, so Deanna is elated. We've become somewhat hermits, fearful to take Christian from this comfortable womb we call home, but we are making headway. He has been out to eat once, to Grandma and Grandpa's four times, and to Target and Publix twice. We are holding off on Wal-Mart for several more months (no need to tempt fate). Oh, and the SARS masks are a thing of the past now. He's an amazing kid. As for our lives, Deanna is a full time stay-at-home mother, enjoying all the benefits and hardships that go along with the position. I am working as a teacher and still going to school. I graduate in January, 06, God willing. And I have decided to give up my heroin addiction. We have been exercising almost daily; walking and racquetball. To sum it all up, Life is great in Sunny Florida. We wish you all well.
Matt, Deanna, and Christian.
p.s. I was kidding about the heroin addiction......I haven't decided to give it up.
I don't really have an addiction mom.

A Okay
What happened to the day when a person's health could be taken for granted? Anyway, Christian is doing fine. We spent the better part of a weekend at Saint Joseph's hospital in Tampa because our Pediatrician said he believed Christian was having seizures. The poor guy had twenty electrodes glued to his head and had to be under a camera for 24 hrs of surveillance. It turns out he doesn't have seizures and is perfectly fine (aside from several cuts on his head from the electrodes and a lingering buzz from the caustic glue they used). The Neurologist -- the best in FL--said Christian's brain activity is that of a two week old baby, which is actually what he would be if he wasn't born early. Thanks for everyone's continual prayers. Sorry to worry You.
