Six Month Check-Up

This is Deanna again- Now that I know the password, Matt can't stop me from talking about my baby! :)

Today was Christian's 6 mth check-up. He weighed 13 lbs 12 oz (3 oz gain since Friday!) and was 24 inches long. He is in the 6th percentile on weight, 10th percentile on head circumference, but unfortunately was not on the scale for height. I guess he's going to take after Matt in every way, including his height! Dr. Frates says he's doing well! He's still a little congested, but his cold is doing a little better. Unfortunately, he had 2 shots today, so he's a little cranky, but he took them like a champ! He didn't even cry from the 1st one and only cried a moment from the 2nd one! He's so brave and tough!

We will keep everyone posted on his development!

Happy 1/2 Birthday!!

This is Deanna- Matt finally allowed me to publish works on the Blog (with only close supervision, of course).

Christian is six months old today! Its hard to believe that he's 1/2 a year old already! He has a slight cold now, but doing well. Of course he has now given me his cold and I'm sneezing my head off at this very.... "Ah, Choo!"... moment.

At his doctor's visit last week he was 13 lbs 9 oz. He gained a pound in a week from starting cereal and formula. He goes for his six month check-up tomorrow, which means SHOTS!! Poor guy! We will see if he's gained any more weight and also see where he stands on the growth chart!

He's now saying, "Da, Da" and "Na, Na" all the time, much to his Mommy's chagrin (no, "Ma, Ma" as of yet). But he definitely loves his Daddy! He'll be asking for hot wings before we know it!!

Six months make such a difference...

Food for thought

Christian started eating real food today, green beans. He seemed to love it but who wouldn't compared to the odious formula he's used to. Also, welcome to FLA Mark and Judy.

Rules of engagement

My sister Sarah is engaged to be wed. You should see the ring Mike, her fiance', bought her. It has its own gravitational pull. Date tba. We couldn't be happier for you Sarah and Mike! Oh, and Christian is doing fine too. Deanna fought the good fight, but the Porricelli in Christian came through, and she just couldn't keep up with his voracious appetite. We switched him to formula and he is taking to it like a baby to a bottle. I can't get over the vomitous aroma of it.
