Update
Christian has been tactically implementing his sleep deprivation technique on us. I am living in a dream state. He has been cramping his stomach constantly-all night and most of the day. Please post if any of you have encountered this with your child or heard of it. He has a doctor's appointment on Monday at which time he will be weighed and I will grill the doctor about the list of questions we have accumulated over the past few days. He's eating great and growing well.

Health Report
Christian's been doing pretty well. He picked up some type of congestion in his throat so we have been basically taking turns watching him throughout the night. He tested negative for RSV, so it is just a matter of time until his complete recovery. His days and nights are switched around, which is awesome for us. Believe me, we are not complaining. It is so great to have him home, and it's already impossible to imagine life without him. The doctor weighed him in today at a whopping 5lbs 2 oz. and we think he is only about a week away from getting his first fat roll on his leg. He has grown over an inch and is eating wonderfully. Please continue your prayers for this cold or whatever it is that he has. I'll blog his progress again in about a week or so.

Home Stretch
He weighs 4lbs 2.7oz. The doctor said he'll be home on Wednsday. We couldn't be more excited. He also got circumcised today, it was terrible. I can't believe you put me through that, mom and dad. He's fine now though, a real tough guy. Once he's home there won't be more entries for a while. We'll be too busy making sure he breathes.

slight repose
Christian had a slower gain of 0.2 pounds. He usually has a slow day after a big gain day.

MILESTONE
God is good! and, apparently, so is Deanna's breast milk, because thanks to all your prayers and the eating he's been doing, he has broken the pound barrier, 4lbs 0.9oz. The doctor wants him at 1900 grams before he can leave. He is now at 1840, and it is my understanding that there are 30 grams in an ounce, which would put him at two ounces from being able to come home. The nurses are still fighting over who gets to take care of him. It seems he's already a lady's man. Take care all.

Five ounces to freedom
Great News! Christian has bagged his incubator and moved on to a crib. So far he has been maintaining his body temperature and should be home pretty soon. The doctor has given him a "clean bill of health" and he is up to 3lbs 14.7oz. Thank you all again for your thoughts and prayers.
